Tim grew up on the Rogue River near Grants Pass Oregon. The Rogue served as a welcome respite from chores on the dairy he and his father owned and operated. From a very early age the river served Tim a number of ways which included solitude and exploration.
After leaving the farm, Tim joined the United States Navy and served in the Persian Gulf. Following an honorable discharge Timber played football in college and continued his career as a river guide which spanned 18 seasons in 5 states. In nearly 700 commercial trips, most of which occurred on very difficult water, not one of Tim’s passengers ever suffered from a serious injury.
A school psychologist for 13 years, Tim also pursues a variety of interests to include; writing, photography, skiing, kickboxing, kayaking, rafting, and cat-boating. His intense yet animated nature is balanced with reading, prayer, and exploring the cultural diversity and arts of Portland.
ORT serves as a platform in which Tim can serve mankind in his own unique way.
